Minimum Age
The driver must be at least 18 years old and must have held a valid driving license for a minimum of one (1) year. The renter is solely responsible for ensuring that all age and driving license requirements are met before completing the booking. If the driver does not meet the age requirements at the rental counter, the vehicle will not be released and no refund will be issued.
Driving License
All drivers must hold a valid driving license for at least one (1) year. The license must be valid, in good condition, and written in Latin characters.
- National driving licenses issued in EU countries, USA, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russia, and Ukraine are accepted.
- For all other countries, a valid International Driving License is required along with the original national license.
Additional drivers for free
Additional drivers are provided free of charge.
All additional drivers must be declared and present at the rental counter at pickup time and must hold a valid driving license and identification document.
Any use of the vehicle by a driver who is not declared in the rental agreement is strictly prohibited and results in full loss of insurance coverage.
Vehicle Use Rules
Vehicle Cleanliness & Smoking
- The vehicle must be returned in a reasonably clean condition.
- Excessive dirt, sand, stains, pet hair, strong odors, or smoking inside the vehicle may result in a cleaning fee ranging from 50€ up to 150€, depending on the condition of the vehicle.
- In cases of severe contamination requiring special cleaning and loss of rental availability, additional charges may apply.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle.
Wrong Fuel
Any damage or cost caused by refueling the vehicle with the wrong type of fuel is the sole responsibility of the renter and is not covered by insurance.
Ferrying the vehicle & across the border rentals
Ferrying the car to and from any island or mainland is not allowed. All insurances will be voided and the renter will be responsible for any damage caused if the vehicle is driven elsewhere than Crete Island.
Unlimited KilometersUnlimited mileage is included in the rental price.
Unlimited mileage applies only to use on public, paved roads within Crete.
Traffic Fines & Law
Any traffic tickets and fines which are received during the renting period are the responsibility of the renter. The car rental company should be informed about any such traffic violation or tickets, for example:
- Neglectful driving
- Driving under the influence of alcohol
- Driving while intoxicated with illegal substances
- Driving in prohibited areas
- Abusive or reckless use of the vehicle
- Red light crossing
In such cases, the renter is fully accountable for all charges.
The company reserves the right to charge an administrative fee for the handling of traffic fines or violations.
Rental Period & Vehicle Handling
Late Return
- A grace period of up to 60 minutes may be allowed, subject to availability.
- Returns beyond this period may result in additional charges and/or loss of insurance coverage.
Rental Extension
If you have already picked up your vehicle and wish to keep it longer, you must contact our company and check if the car is available. We have the right to deny the extension of the rental if the car is already booked.
Please note that a customer is not allowed to bring the car later than the agreed return time without notifying us since there is no insurance coverage after the return time of the car.
Car Replacement
In the event of an accident or breakdown resulting in vehicle immobilization, the renter must inform our company immediately. A replacement vehicle will be provided subject to availability and location, within a reasonable time frame. The company reserves the right to investigate the cause of the incident and deny vehicle replacement if the vehicle was used in violation of these terms.
Road Accident
In case of a road accident, you have to inform our company immediately and also the police. The police will record the accident, and you have to get a copy of the police report. Without a police report, the renter takes full responsibility.
Personal Belongings
The company is not responsible for any personal belongings left inside the vehicle during or after the rental period.
Selection of particular car brand or model
Bookings are subject to a specific car group, which usually includes several different car models with similar features. You can ask for a specific model after your booking is confirmed. We will add your model preference to your booking and we will deliver the requested model if it is available the day of your arrival.
Please note that you must be prepared to collect any of the advertised vehicles within a category. In case you have a confirmed reservation for a specific car group and there is not any available car from this category, we reserve the right to deliver a vehicle of bigger category with no extra charge.

24-Hour Road Assistance
24/7 roadside assistance is provided free of charge. Our roadside assistance partner is Mondial Assistance.

Road assistance is free of charge except in cases of negligence, misuse, wrong fuel, loss or damage of keys, or violation of the rental terms. In case assistance is required, it is recommended to contact our office directly.
Fuel Policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as delivered. Vehicles delivered during night hours (outside office hours) are provided with at least half a tank of fuel.
The company reserves the right to block an amount equivalent to the fuel cost as a guarantee. The blocked fuel guarantee amount will be released once the vehicle is returned with the agreed fuel level.
Missing fuel will be charged based on local fuel prices plus a refueling service fee

Insurance Coverage
Car Insurance
Full insurance WITHOUT EXCESS (F.D.W.) – 0€ Excess.
The zero excess (0€ Excess) applies only provided that the vehicle is used in full compliance with the Road Traffic Code and the present rental terms.
In the event of a violation of the Road Traffic Code, the zero-excess coverage shall no longer apply and the renter shall be liable for damages up to the maximum excess amounts applicable to the vehicle category.
- Full coverage in case of an accident for the entire body of the vehicle, wheels, and glass (WG)
- Public Liability insurance (PLI)
- Theft and Fire Protection insurance (TP + FP)
- Personal accident insurance (PAI)
Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.)
In case of damage, the renter is responsible up to the applicable excess amount depending on vehicle category.
- Car Groups A, A1, B, Jeep 4×4, Cabrio Small, Cabrio Small Auto: Maximum charge is 700€
- Car Groups D, D1, D2: Maximum charge is 800€
- Car Groups A2, B1, B2, C, C1, C2, Convertible: Maximum charge is 750€
- Car Groups SUV, SUV Auto, D3: Maximum amount is 1000€
- Car Groups Convertible Auto, 7 Seater, 7 Seater Auto, Cabrio1, SUV Cabriolet: Maximum amount is 1200€
- Car Groups 9 Seater: Maximum charge is 1500€
Scooter – ATV – Buggy insurance
C.D.W. (Collision Damage Waiver) with excess amount
With this insurance in case of damage the renter’s liability is limited to an excess amount, which is:
- 500€ for scooters up to 50cc
- 600€ for scooters up to 125cc
- 800€ for scooters up to 300cc
- 1000€ for motorbikes up to 500cc
- 1000€ for ATVs up to 450cc
- 1500€ for ATVs up to 625cc
- 3000€ for ATVs up to 850cc
- 3000€ for Buggies up to 800cc
- 3000€ for Buggies up to 1100cc
Insurance Exclusions
Insurance does not cover:
- Traffic fines
- Lost or damaged keys
- Interior damage
- Damage caused by alcohol, drugs, or traffic violations
- Undercarriage damage
- Off-road use or use on non-paved roads, including but not limited to beaches, dirt roads, mountain tracks, rural paths, or any road not officially paved and maintained.
- Traffic fines, administrative penalties, and any charges arising from violations of the Road Traffic Code are the sole responsibility of the renter.
Insurance Invalidity
All insurance coverage is void if:
- The vehicle is used in violation of these terms
- Traffic laws are violated
- No police report is provided in case of accident
- Any violation of the Road Traffic Code results in the loss of the zero-excess benefit (0€ Excess), even if full insurance has been selected.
Security Deposit
A security deposit will be secured via credit or debit card upon vehicle pickup. The applicable deposit amount depends on the selected vehicle category and insurance option and is clearly displayed during the booking process prior to payment. By completing the booking, the renter acknowledges and accepts the applicable security deposit amount.
The deposit is refunded after rental completion, provided that no additional charges apply. The release of the amount may take up to fourteen (14) working days, depending on the issuing bank. The company reserves the right to retain part or all of the deposit to cover damages, fines, missing fuel, or violations of the rental terms.
Payments, Cancellation & No-Show
Cancellation Policy
Full prepayment (100% advance payment): In case of full prepayment, no refund will be made in the event of cancellation.
Deposit (partial advance payment):
- If you have made only a deposit and wish to cancel your booking, you must send us a cancellation email and receive a confirmation reply from us acknowledging receipt of your cancellation notice.
- There is no cancellation fee if we receive your cancellation notice at least 3 days prior to the scheduled pickup time.
- For cancellations received less than 3 days before the pickup, the deposit is non-refundable.

No-Show Policy
If the renter fails to collect the vehicle within two (2) hours of the scheduled pickup time without written notification, the reservation may be canceled and the total booking amount charged.
In case of flight delays, the renter must inform us in writing.

All payments made using the card are processed through the electronic payment platform viva.com | Smart Checkout of viva.com and uses TLS 1.2 encryption protocol with 128-bit (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL). Encryption is a way of coding the information until it reaches its recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.

Free airport parking at the car return
Leaving the car at the airport parking point, on departure day, is free of charge, and is the easiest way to catch your plane.
Legal & Privacy
Force Majeure
The company shall not be held liable for delays or failure to fulfill its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control (force majeure).
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is respected and we will not distribute your personal information to any third party which is not involved in your car rental enquiry.
Personal data may be shared with authorities or insurance companies when required by law.
Collection and Processing of Identification Data
- Upon signing the rental agreement, the Company may collect and record identification details of the renter and/or any additional drivers. Such collection may take place either by physical copying of the documents or by scanning/photographing them with a camera during the booking process.
- The documents that may be requested include, indicatively, a driving license, national ID card, or passport. The data collected may include the full name, document number, date of issue and expiry, date of birth, identification photograph, and any other information appearing on the relevant documents.
- The purpose of collecting and processing this data is to verify the driver’s identity, ensure the legality of the rental, fulfill contractual and insurance obligations, and comply with the requirements of applicable legislation.
- The data is retained only for as long as necessary to complete and archive the rental agreement and is deleted or anonymized after the expiration of the required retention period. The Company applies all appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
- The renter has the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict the processing of his/her personal data, in accordance with applicable law. To exercise these rights, the renter may contact the Company using the contact details provided in the rental agreement.
